After graduating from Stanford University with a BS in Physics and an MS in Computer Science with concentrations in machine learning and AI, Julian Kates-Harbeck went on to earn a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University. There, he was awarded the National Science Foundation GRFP, Department of Defense NDSEG, and Department of Energy CSGF
After graduating from Stanford University with a BS in Physics and an MS in Computer Science with concentrations in machine learning and AI, Julian Kates-Harbeck went on to earn a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University. There, he was awarded the National Science Foundation GRFP, Department of Defense NDSEG, and Department of Energy CSGF fellowships. An expert in experimental neuroscience, high-performance computing, complex social and biological networks, and AI for natural sciences, Julian is pivotal to MobiLab’s technological integration efforts.

He currently holds 25 POCT diagnostics patents.

Upon graduation, he began an over 20-year-long career in insurance underwriting and health management, spearheading innovations in over 20 countries. He currently holds two patents in lavage self samplers and fraud prevention technology.
